Care for an HIV PatientTens of millions of people worldwide are currently living with HIV/AIDS. Development of sophisticated "cocktails" of expensive antiretroviral (ARV) drugs has made HIV/AIDS a manageable chronic illness in developed countries, but "missing infrastructure" was often cited as a reason not to provide ARV medications to the Third World. Partners in Health's groundbreaking HIV Equity Initiative provides that infrastructure, providing free, comprehensive HIV treatment and prevention services to the destitute sick. Fund one month of ARV medications for $11.00, three months for $32.00, six months for $64.00, or an entire year for $128.00.

Care for Two Rescued RabbitsEvery spring in the U.S., thousands of bunnies are purchased as live toys for children. Exuberant children and ground-loving, easily frightened rabbits are not a good mix, however. Once the child loses interest and the rabbit grows into adolescence -- including natural behaviors such as chewing, spraying, or digging -- many rabbits are destined to be abandoned on the side of a road.
