GreaterGood and IFAW Need Your Help to Rescue Animals Affected by Tornados In The South
The week of April 25, 2014, saw at least 79 tornadoes tear through the American South. As the threat of additional tornadoes in Mississippi subsides, the rescue and cleanup endeavors begin. GreaterGood is on the front lines, working with our partners at the International Fund For Animal Welfare to save distressed and displaced animals.
Many animals are wandering the streets looking for food and their families. Some are injured and some need medication. All need a safe place to stay. The already overcrowded shelters need help with the rescue and transport of these animals until they can be reunited with their families or until adoption becomes an option.
The IFAW team and Animal Lifeline are taking the GreaterGood.org/Animal Rescue Site supported animal rescue rig to the community of Tupelo, Mississippi—one of the hardest hit areas. Shelters already at capacity are attempting to deal with the influx of animals affected by the disaster. Please support IFAW and Animal Lifeline in their efforts to provide care for these animal victims of the Mississippi tornadoes.
