Help Veterans respond to help victims of Gulf Coast state floods.

79127_1000Historic flooding in the Gulf Coast brought by epic rainfall bringing in 2 feet of rain in the worst hit areas in southern Louisiana. Rescue teams are calling it the worst natural disaster to strike the United States since Superstorm Sandy. This calamity has claimed 11 lives, leaving an estimated 30,000 people displaced from their homes.

Team Rubicon works to unite the skills and experiences of military veterans with emergency first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams.

Their volunteers have drafted Initial Situation Reports and are assessing their ability to respond as the waters recede, positioning resources and working with local partners to serve those affected. Once deployed, emergency response teams will do damage assessments and effectively execute disaster-relief services, including community stabilization, hazard mitigation, debris management, and emergency home repair.

Team Rubicon volunteers are ready to help, but can’t provide immediate flood relief without support. When you donate to Team Rubicon, you’re not only allowing us to help those uprooted by heavy rains, you’re also empowering veterans and first responders to utilize their skills, training, and unwavering will to serve others. Please donate today!
