Purina Cat Chow donates 5 million meals to Rescue Bank!
During the entire month of July, cat lovers all over the country joined forces with Purina Cat Chow to help reach a goal of 5 million meals donated to Rescue Bank! During Purina Cat Chow’s “Nutrition to Build Better Lives” challenge, they pledged to match every bag of Purina Cat Chow purchased with a donated meal, up to 5 million. Today, they announced that goal was graciously met!
With the help of actress Busy Philipps, the brand encouraged all buyers to join in on the cause. As a cat lover herself, Busy praised, “I want to say thank you to every cat person who helped make the Purina Cat Chow 5 million meal donation possible – your one small action will help hundreds of thousands of cats.” Shown, Noah Horton Director of Operations for GreaterGood.org, joined Philipps in receiving the large donation!
This overflow of support will not only help feed millions of cats across the nation but support rescue renovations, provide nutritious food, and encourage the adoption of cats in shelters.
Rescue Bank’s mission is to help alleviate the cost of pet food to shelters, so money can be directed towards more pressing needs. As most shelters face overcrowding, the offset of having donated food alone alleviates a ton of money.
Rescue Bank, Purina Cat Chow, and Busy Philipps thank YOU for helping us reach this goal! Your small act of kindness gives hope to adoptable cats to ensure they stay healthy while waiting for homes.
