Provide a Child an Education for Just $1
You are 13 years old. At 5:30 a.m., you wake. You need to be to school by 8 a.m. You need time to prepare, and walk the two hours to school. After school, you will need to make the two-hour walk home. You want to go to school; you want to better yourself, so you make these journeys without real shoes. All your family can provide are a pair of sandals which are falling apart and constructed from repurposed tires.
If you were little Abel, this would be your daily routine. His family lives in rural Bolivia, works incredibly hard, and only make enough to barely get by. A recent study revealed that three out of four people in rural areas in Bolivia live below the national poverty line.
For Abel and underserved youth like him, shoes are a vehicle to a better life; shoes are a means to an education; shoes have the ability to kick through the cycle of poverty. Without shoes, these youth either skip the walk to school or take it and suffer greatly along the way. This is where you come in. How often do you get the chance to change a life for just $1? That $1 covers the cost of a pair of brand new shoes for an underserved Bolivian youth. Funds are needed to transport the shoes from warehouses in the United States to Bolivian families who need it most. 100% of your donation goes toward the collection and distribution of shoes.
You can help. Just $1.00 covers the cost of a pair of brand new shoes for a child in Bolivia. Click here to change a life forever for so little.
