All Autumn Knew Was Neglect, but Then You Stepped In!

July 23 – July 29 is National Feed a Rescue Pet Week! One of the biggest expenses for shelters and rescue groups is feeding animals in their care. For many rescues, after food costs, they have little or nothing left in their budget for medical treatment, vaccines or other adoption programs. That’s where GreaterGood’s Rescue Bank program comes in—we ship donated food to rescue groups around the country to make sure their animals are well fed, and that they have extra money in their budget to help pets in desperate need—pets like Autumn.

Someone surrendered Autumn Fox to Needy Paws Rescue (NPR) from a dangerous situation. When she came to the rescue, she needed a groom and some TLC. She also needed to trust again after suffering severe neglect.

From the moment she entered NPR, her life changed quickly. NPR’s volunteer groomer helped her look more beautiful than ever. It was as if she’d had a spa day! NPR had an application for someone who had been waiting to adopt a Standard Poodle. After Autumn’s groom, she met her new mom, and it was love at first sight. She now has a new mom, who renamed her Harlow, and a new, beautiful life filled with love and belly scratches.

Every dollar donated to Rescue Bank offsets $17 worth of expense for a rescue group. This National Feed a Rescue Pet Week, YOU can save more animals like Autumn by clicking here.

“Without GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank, we would not be able to receive donated food and supplies that reduce our overhead costs and help us continue to use our monetary donations directly for the rescue dogs.” – Needy Paws Rescue
