December’s Family Feature
By Brittany John – Health, Hunger and Education Program Manager
Each month this year we are introducing you to a new mother who safely delivered her newborn child at Mae Tao Clinic on the Thai/Burma border. In this region, infant and maternal mortality rates are far too high – 22 times higher than elsewhere. Thanks to your help, we are determined to improve access to prenatal care, safe labor and delivery, and postpartum care for new mothers and their babies. Here the reproductive health team safely delivers between 3 – 15 babies every day.
This month we’d like to introduce you to Wai Di and her precious twin girls!
