Cayenne’s Cancer Journey

By Czarina Nafarrate – Content & Program Coordinator

May is National Pet Cancer Awareness month. With your help, the team works with pet care partners across the country to provide medical care for pets in need, including grants for screening for and treating cancer.

Just as with people, the cause of cancer in pets is largely unknown. Often with early diagnosis and proper treatment, pets can live a healthy long life, like Cayenne!

Cayenne came to Partners for Pets with a large cancerous mass on her jaw in 2016. She was quickly placed into a loving foster home with a family who was by her side every step of the way.

During her treatment, one of the veterinary technicians who worked with her fell in love with and adopted her the moment she was ready.

Today Cayenne is in a loving home and cancer-free!

“We would like to thank all of you at Greater Good, without your help and dedication to Cayenne’s Crusade this would not have been possible. What an amazing journey we’ve had together.” – Cayenne’s Family
