Emaciated, Abandoned Ruby Makes Major Comeback
By Jim Kober – Director of Content
Found on the streets of Toledo, Ruby was in bad shape. Someone abandoned her to the harsh elements—left her to die. She was emaciated and didn’t stand a chance. Ruby ended up in the local pound, and Toledo’s PET Bull Project (TPBP) pulled her out.
At the rescue, she is putting on weight slowly and becoming healthy. It has taken some time, but Ruby is starting to understand that no one is going to take her food from her. She will require extra tender loving care and TPBP and GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank food donations are there to provide it. It is incredible that after humans treated her so badly, she still loves people and other dogs. Ruby’s heart is full and should be an example to us all.
Ruby is slowly putting on weight thanks to Rescue Bank donated food, though she still has a ways to go. Thankfully, she is in good hands and safe with TPBP. Once healthy, she will begin training and find her new forever home!
“Receiving food from GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank is the one thing that keeps us in a position to help dogs like Ruby. Because of this food, we will be able to put funds toward training and vetting for her.” – Toledo’s PET Bull Project
