The High-Five Doctor Is In!

Developed by Jackson Galaxy and a team of animal behavior experts, The Jackson Galaxy Project’s Cat Pawsitive is a mojo-enhancing, positive-reinforcement clicker training initiative that enriches day-to-day life for cats in shelters, builds new skills for cats as well as shelter staff and volunteers, promotes the human-cat bond, and helps improve adoptability.

The Jackson Galaxy Project is a Signature Program of GreaterGood.org.

Oliver was a stray who wandered into a friendly garage before he was moved into a foster home with Pet Connect Rescue.

His nickname is the Honey Badger because he is the smartest, bravest, and most determined cat his Pet Connect family has ever met. He can escape from any containment, break into any cabinet or drawer, and he loves admiring gravity (read: watching things break when they hit the floor). Oliver is also super energetic and curious, which are all the ingredients for a lot of mischief!

His family started clicker training almost from the first day he arrived as a way to channel his special talents, and he loves it!! Oliver got right in the mix and trains side by side with the family dog. He never wants to be left out. So far, it’s been a great way to build calm, positive cat-dog experiences.

We’re so thankful this cutie entered our contest and hope to see his pop-up high-five stand near us soon.
