National Feed a Rescue Pet Week: Feed 4 Million Rescues!
July 22 – 28 is National Feed a Rescue Pet Week
Food is one of the most vital needs for shelters and rescue organizations. For many of these groups, after food costs, they have little or nothing left in their budget for medical treatment, vaccines, or adoption programs. That’s why GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank is hosting a pet food drive to ship food to shelters and rescue groups across the country – so they can save more animals like Lieutenant Dan.
Lieutenant Dan was found with his back legs wrapped in barbed wire, causing them to be necrotic and infected. His legs had to be amputated, and he is waiting to receive the prosthetics specifically made for him. Without specialized treatment, he would not be able to live a normal life. With food donations from GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank, Nashville Humane Association budgeted their money for special needs animals like Lieutenant Dan and fed the pets in their shelter without a worry!
Help us reach our goal to feed 4 million rescues!
