Lili Needs a Home
GreaterGood.org is teaming up with NBC and Telemundo for this year’s Clear the Shelters event, a nationwide pet adoption drive on Saturday, August 17. Since 2015, more than 250,000 pets found their forever homes, but we still have a long way to go!
Meet Lili. She’s a 7-year-old American Bulldog mix who has been at Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center (SPARC) in Ventura County since 2013. She was surrendered to the shelter after her previous owner had to move and could not take her.
She has a lot of great qualities once you get to know her. She gets along with most dogs when properly introduced, but is not always keen on children. Even though she can be a bit standoffish at first, she is really affectionate with the right person. She is a sensitive gal with a firecracker personality.
Lili is housebroken and loves to just lay around on the couch after a nice game of fetch or a lovely walk. She loves car rides, especially on the front seat with the window down. She loves playing with balls and will play keep away. She enjoys tummy rubs, burgers, and chicken jerky treats.
She is extremely loyal and is very good at nudging a person when they are sick or down. She is looking for a single person to give all her love to.
You could be that person!
Thanks to your donations and help from iHeartDogs, we were able to surprise her shelter with a $10,000 grant and show a little extra love for Lili, whose kennel was given a special surprise makeover. In addition, The Animal Rescue Site donated toys, blankets, and other supplies for every pet in the shelter.
