Help for People
Emergency Support Needed for Unhoused Families & Veterans
Many Americans are struggling more than ever before.
You can help keep people with their pets by providing Emergency Packs filled with a blanket, toiletries, a water bottle, and pet food and toys. Just $25 can provide a pack—keeping families together when they need it most.
Provide Scholarships to Refugee Students this Holiday Season
With your help, we can create a brighter future for students.
With your help, we can remove obstacles for 10 students, covering their tuition so they can focus on learning instead of survival. Each scholarship can open the door to college for a student—creating future teachers, healthcare workers, and leaders who inspire the next generation. Just $45 can cover a day of college for a student.
Help Americans in Need
This holiday season, thousands of unhoused people—including families, veterans, and domestic violence survivors—will give up shelter to stay with the pets they love.
With so few pet-friendly shelters, many are forced to choose between safety and the bond with their only companion. You can provide holiday hope to Americans in need by providing Emergency Packs filled with a blanket, toiletries, a water bottle, and pet food and toys.
Holiday Blanket Drive to Give Warmth
Freezing temperatures can be life threatening for those living without shelter. A warm blanket can change everything.
For many, the holiday season highlights what’s missing—safety, family, and security. By donating a blanket through Greater Good Charities, you’re offering more than just protection from the cold — you’re giving hope and a reminder that they are not forgotten. Just $15 can send a blanket to someone in need.
Help for Pets
Holiday Pet Food Drive
This holiday season, we’re hosting a Pet Food Drive to send 2.5 million meals to dogs and cats.
Food is often the largest cost for animal shelters. And as they reach unmanageable levels of pet overpopulation, they must limit the number of pets they can save—meaning many pets won’t find a home for the holidays. Just $50 can send 1,000 meals.
Fly Pets to Safety
Shelters are overwhelmed and over capacity.
This holiday season, Greater Good Charities is flying pets from under-resourced shelters to less-crowded shelters, where they’re more likely to get adopted into loving families. Just $100 can fly a pet five miles closer to a home.
Give Care to Sick & Injured Pets
Bumper had been hit by a car, and without emergency medical intervention provided by generous donors, he wouldn't have made it.
Due to the high cost of veterinary care, shelter pets like Bumper who become sick or injured have a lower chance of receiving the treatment they need and eventually getting adopted. From lifesaving surgery to treatment for parvovirus, your support makes urgent care possible and saves pets in need.
Send Care Packages to Pet in Need
Shelters across the country are struggling to afford basic necessities as they face low adoption rates and are overwhelmed with the number of pets in their care.
This holiday season, Greater Good Charities is working to save as many pets as possible by providing care packages. For just $25, you can send meals, a warm bed, and vaccines to a pet in need.
Help for the Environment
Protect Pollinators
Pollinators like bees, butterflies, bats, and hummingbirds are essential to life—but they are in crisis.
This holiday season, we’re working to save pollinators and their ecosystems. Your donation can help fund emergency feeding, habitat restoration, and the resources needed to rebuild pollinator populations — ensuring they can continue to sustain crops, communities, and ecosystems for generations to come. $50 can plant 100 square feet of habitat for important pollinators
Help Protect Wolves
Red and Mexican Wolves are critically endangered. They need our help to survive.
There are only a few hundred Red and Mexican wolves left in the wild. They’re often struck by cars as humans encroach on their habitats. We're partnering with wolf sanctuaries to build wildlife crossings on busy roads and are renovating wildlife sanctuaries to accommodate more born-captive and injured wolves. This holiday season, give the gift of protection.
Help Save Endangered Manatees
Fewer than 700 Puerto Rican Antillean manatees remain, threatened by boat strikes, entanglement, habitat loss, and illegal hunting.
Taiku and Dakiti, two orphaned calves rescued near Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, are now preparing to return to the wild after three years of rehabilitation. Taiku was just a few days old when she was found clinging to her mother’s body off Puerto Rico’s south coast. A jet ski had killed her mother—one casualty in a long list of threats facing the endangered Puerto Rican Antillean manatee, a subspecies of the American manatee.
With your support, manatees receive the specialized care they need, from medical treatment and nutrition to behavioral conditioning and post-release satellite tracking. Your gift helps provide the food, veterinary care, tracking, and research needed to protect Taiku, Dakiti, and the future of this endangered species.
Give Safety to Baby Wildlife
Wildlife are most vulnerable as babies.
This holiday season, you can help by providing formula, medical care, and rehabilitation support for babies such as bobcats, opossums, raccoons, birds, and more. Donate now to help vulnerable baby wildlife survive.
Help Protect Endangered Sea Turtles
Sea turtles are in crisis—only 1 in 1,000 hatchlings survive to adulthood, making six out of seven species endangered or threatened.
Rapidly changing ocean temperatures, plastic pollution, and boat strikes all threaten sea turtles’ chances of survival. This holiday season, we’re working to protect this keystone species by protecting nests, providing medical care, and transporting sick turtles to warmer waters for rehabilitation and release. Give the gift of protection this holiday season.
Preserve Critical Habitats
The future of land protection is at risk. Help us preserve critical habitats.
On Idaho’s Sagle Peninsula, over 500 acres of forests, meadows, and wetlands provide food, water, and shelter for elk, birds, and countless other species. Without the funding needed to finalize the conservation easement, this landscape remains vulnerable to development. Your holiday gift can provide the funds needed to protect it forever—safeguarding vital corridors, rare habitats, and the species that call them home.
Help for Disaster Relief
Give Warmth to Ukrainian's
Ukrainians are entering yet another holiday season tainted by war. Each time a ceasefire is promised, missiles strike again. But Ukrainians have never lost hope, and neither have we.
Now, they face another threat – winter. As temperatures drop, Greater Good Charities is providing critical insulation for windows and Winter Relief Kits filled with food and a blanket to care for the people and pets facing unimaginable conditions. Just $130 can provide a Winter Relief Kit and insulated windows for a household.
Support Pets in Ukraine
Pets on the frontlines of Ukraine need urgent support this holiday season.
Shelters are overwhelmed, resources are stretched thin, and families fleeing conflict are struggling to care for the animals they love. Your holiday gift can provide food, shelter, and evacuation support for pets across Ukraine. With your support, we can give these animals a chance at survival. Just $30 can provide 300 meals for pets in Ukraine.
