Thor as rescued from a fire that tragically broke out at an unhoused encampment where he was living. The fire reportedly started as an attempt to keep Thor warm on a chilly night but quickly got out of control, spreading to nearby property and even destroying a neighbor’s fence. Thor was rushed to an emergency clinic, where he received the urgent care he needed.

Thanks to generous care donations from Greater Good Charities, Thor is now on the road to recovery. He’s been vaccinated, well-fed, and is finally resting in a cozy bed as he waits to meet his forever family.
