47,000 lives have been lost after a once-in-a-century 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southeastern Turkey on Monday, February 6th, and the death toll is still rising. Countless more people have been displaced. They have lost homes, loved ones, and any sense of normalcy. These survivors and their pets need your help NOW.

Turkey (formally recognized as Türkiye by the U.S. State Department as of January 2023), has declared a three-month state-of-emergency for this unprecedented catastrophe. In affected areas, thousands are left unsheltered in the winter cold without reliable access to hygiene supplies and plumbing. Greater Good Charities is on the ground responding to the situation. We’re setting up distribution locations in Hatay Province in the city of Antakya and surrounding areas with the initial goal to serve up to 10,000 meals to survivors daily.
