Hurricane Isaias Hits the Gulf Coast: Aid Is on the Way
Hurricane Isaias, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season, made landfall on the Gulf Coast as a Category 2 storm with 105 mph winds. Hundreds of thousands of people are without power, and downed trees and blocked roads are making it harder for families to get what they need. As the storm moves inland, flooding, strong winds, and tornadoes remain a threat across the Southeast.
Greater Good Charities is responding. A truckload of pet food and emergency animal supplies is on its way to our partners on the ground from our pre-positioned aid hub. We are also assessing how we can support beekeepers whose hives and livelihoods may have been affected. We expect needs to grow as the storm moves inland, and we’re working with partners across the South to respond as they arise.
Your gift helps us get aid where it’s needed, fast. Donate now to help people and pets affected by Hurricane Isaias.
