Hurricane Helene has devastated the southeastern U.S., affecting millions of people, damaging crops, and threatening the bees that pollinate them.
An estimated 95,000 hives—home to over 2 billion bees—have been damaged or destroyed in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and nearby states. With much of the plant vegetation, their natural food source, wiped out, surviving bees face starvation.
Now, Hurricane Milton has struck, destroying more of what little forage remains — worsening the crisis for the bees.
Greater Good Charities, in partnership with Mann Lake, is responding to urgent calls for help by providing emergency bee pollen substitute and syrup to sustain the bees. But we need your support to continue this aid.
Losing these essential pollinators will affect us all. Please, help us save the bees.
