Sea turtles are in crisis—only 1 in 1,000 hatchlings survive to adulthood, making six out of seven species endangered or threatened. 

Rapidly changing ocean temperatures, plastic pollution, and boat strikes all threaten sea turtles’ chances of survival. This holiday season, we’re working to protect this keystone species by protecting nests, providing medical care, and transporting sick turtles to warmer waters for rehabilitation and release. 

On December 3rd, we conducted our third transport this season and flew 40 cold-stunned sea turtles from New England to New York and Pennsylvania, where they’ll be treated, rehabilitated, and released. This and future flights are crucial to ensure we save as many endangered and threatened sea turtles as possible – but we need your help to achieve takeoff.
