Help save threatened and endangered wildlife before it's too late!

These poor baby swans (pictured above) were stuck on a busy highway at risk of being struck by passing cars. Humane Indiana Wildlife (HIW) staff received an urgent call from state police and rushed to the scene. They found that the male had already flown away, but the female was still sitting by the road with her six cygnets. The plan was to capture mom and babies and relocate them somewhere safe, but as the team approached, the mother flew away. The cygnets, now orphaned, were rescued and taken back to the center.

As the cygnets grew for 142 days in HIW's care, the staff reached out to numerous local groups to determine an ideal location for the swans' eventual release. Now, all six trumpeter swans—which are endangered in Indiana—have been released back into the wild!

The center rescues and rehabilitates over 150 different species each year. And as baby season is upon us, they will be rescuing orphaned and injured baby animals to rehabilitate them to live successfully in their natural habitat. Will you help give these animals the shelter they need?

Greater Good Charities' Rescue Rebuild program is preparing for a fantastic project updating the Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and you can be a part of this renovation!

With your help, the team will construct a new enclosure, add a water feature to help species like beavers that are not able to be released until they are two years old, renovate existing structures, and build a storage shed.

These life-changing updates will create safe spaces for a wide variety of species, from trumpeter swans to beavers and bald eagles! Will you help Rescue Rebuild improve the lives of these animals and support the amazing work of the Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation Center?

Donate NOW to make a difference by funding this build and future renovations with Rescue Rebuild!
