Rolo was hit by a speeding vehicle and left on the side of the road. Thankfully, a local rescue was able to pick him up and rush him into emergency care where an x-ray revealed his leg and hip were broken and needed surgery. Rolo was in extreme pain until the surgeons were able to repair the damage and inserted a metal plate so he will one day have full use of his leg again.
