Heavy monsoon rains caused the complete collapse of an elephant shelter in northern Thailand, trapping three elephants. Luckily, they weren't injured, but all were in shock and extremely scared. Now, we're working with Save Elephant Foundation to rebuild chain-free shelters for these elephants to improve their lives.

On July 8th, heavy monsoon rains hit a small elephant camp in northern Thailand, causing complete collapse of the elephant shelter.
Three elephants living at the camp were trapped underneath the shelter when it collapsed and weren’t rescued until early morning. Luckily, there were no serious injuries to the elephants, but all were in shock and extremely scared.
The three elephants, Theng, Somsri and Thong Dee, are now out in the elements under hot sun in the day and heavy rain at night. Until the shelter is rebuilt, the elephants must be contained by chains for their safety. That's why we're working with Save Elephant Foundation to build chain-free shelters for these elephants to improve their lives.
Your gift will directly cover the construction and materials needed to rebuild. Donate today.
