Help Save Displaced and Injured Animals
Markos was one of many pets rescued from the wildfires raging in Greece. He was found by a local resident with severely burned paws, extremely dehydrated, and struggling to breathe. He was rushed to urgent care, where he received fluids, was treated with antibiotics, and stabilized before being transferred to a local rescuer for continued recovery. Markos and many pets like him need medication, burn treatment, plenty of fluids, and ongoing care to recover from the fires.
Greater Good Charities is actively responding to calls for help from shelters and rescue groups on the frontlines. With veterinary care stretched thin, our veterinarian stepped into a critical gap, triaging pets, providing treatments, and advising on ongoing care needs. We're also providing pet food and supplies, humanitarian aid, and we continue to assess the need. You can help animals like Markos receive the medical care they need after being rescued from the wildfires.
