Urgent: Save the Small Clawed Otter
20240224_090914 copy

The small-clawed otter species has decreased by more than 30% worldwide. This tiny mammal is dying due to starvation, exotic pet trade, and habitat loss.

Greater Good Charities is working with partners in Vietnam to feed and shelter several otters rescued from illegal trafficking. Small-clawed otters need to eat freshwater fish daily and the cost to feed and shelter these rescued otters is expensive. We need your help to send food to starving otters so they can survive.

We need your help NOW to intervene before we lose this animal for good. Your donations can help feed threatened species like the small-clawed otter.

Conserving At-Risk Species and Habitat

Greater Good Charities is dedicated to the conservation of species identified as in peril, threatened, endangered, or close to extinction throughout the world. Humans are one of more than 1 million species. Yet our existence has marked our planet, leaving many species on the brink of extinction, 30-50 percent of which might be gone by mid-century.

Project Peril works with our partners on the ground to:

  • Rescue animals from illegal trafficking
  • Train and employ locals to protect their habitats from illegal deforestation and animal poaching
  • Help ensure natural migration corridors of numerous species remain uninterrupted
  • Protect and restore species’ natural habitats through land protection and reforestation
  • Provide cohabitation education to reduce retaliation against species
  • Provide food and build sanctuaries for endangered animals to safely live out the remainder of their days
  • Create breeding programs to help repopulate critical species

Your donation today can help us protect the small-clawed otter and provide support for critical lifesaving programs.

Greater Good Charities has ultimate authority and discretion with regard to the distribution of its funds. All expenditures made are consistent with the exempt purposes of Greater Good Charities.
