TSA officers are worked without pay – for the third time in just six months.

Around 61,000 employees were affected by the government shutdown, causing hours-long lines at major airports such as Houston, Austin, Washington D.C, and New Orleans. Federal funding was approved after 40 days without paychecks, but some workers are still missing a portion of their pay.

Without reliable paychecks, many were forced to default on payments, miss rent, and skip on groceries. When in crisis, people often choose to feed their pets before themselves, stretching their budgets even further. Some may be forced to surrender their pets to animal shelters to ensure they get the care they need.

No one should have to choose between feeding themselves and their pet.

We’re providing pet food and hygiene products such as shampoo to TSA employees, relieving the burden of feeding beloved pets in addition to their families.
