Everyday Americans facing economic hardships may be forced into a difficult reality if their family pet falls sick or ill—euthanizing their own pet because they simply don’t have the money for treatment.

Grace Kelly is a therapy dog whose young autistic owner contacted a shelter for help when a large growth on her front leg became infected. He is on limited funds and couldn’t cover her treatment.
In the care of the shelter, Grace Kelly was placed on antibiotics, and once the infection was under control, surgery was performed to remove the tumor. Grace Kelly remained hospitalized long enough to ensure her recovery from the surgery, then, all thanks to our Keeping Pets with Their Families initiative, she returned to her loving owner.
Everyday Americans like this young man face economic hardships through no fault of their own. If their family pet falls sick or ill, they may be forced into a difficult reality—euthanizing their own pet because they simply don’t have the money for treatment.
That’s why Greater Good Charities is working to help give families a chance to stay together with their beloved pets. We're sending cash grants to our network of non-profit veterinary providers so they can cover the cost of life-saving veterinary care to families who need it most. And now, we’re asking for your support. Together, we can provide life-saving veterinary treatment and care necessary to avoid economic euthanasia for family pets.
If you are able to contribute, please help keep pets with their loved ones.
