On April 2nd, we are flying over 70 shelter pets from Louisiana to Wisconsin to be quickly adopted into loving new homes.
In honor of Heartworm Awareness Month, we are sending a special Save a Heart Flight on April 8th to send more than 40 pets from Louisiana to the East Coast where they are getting a second chance at a forever family. The Save a Heart initiative, aims to reduce euthanasia in overcrowded animal shelters by preventing heartworm disease in shelter dogs.
Without these important flights, many of these dogs and cats wouldn’t make it out of the shelter.
Good Flights conducts life-saving airlifts and supports ground transport for some of the country’s most at-risk pet populations (including asymptomatic heartworm-positive dogs, homeless cats, and hard-to-place dogs). Good Flights also helps evacuate pets in times of disaster. To date, Good Flights has transported over 12,000 at-risk shelter pets to safety.
