This week, Southern California will be impacted by a second round of atmospheric river rain, resulting in flooding in a region already saturated by previous storms.
Flood watches are again in effect for millions of people and their pets. Two to five inches are expected in urban areas in Southern California, with a range of four to eight inches at higher elevations.
This region has received more rainfall in just two weeks than it typically receives in a year.
But it is more than just flooding. According to the National Weather Service, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties are at risk of mudslides.
