At Greater Good Charities, our commitment to providing ongoing support to communities affected by natural disasters is unwavering. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we have worked tirelessly alongside local organizations to ensure that those in need—including veterans—receive the critical aid they deserve.
In response to Hurricane Helene, Greater Good Charities teamed up with the Western North Carolina VA Health Care System to support veterans in dire need of assistance. Many of these veterans experienced severe disruptions to their lives, losing homes, possessions, and in some cases, access to healthcare. Our mission was to ensure they received the help they needed during their recovery process.
The VA’s clinical teams have been working around the clock to provide high-risk veterans with essential medication, wellness checks, food, and water. Despite the many challenges posed by the hurricane’s aftermath, these teams have continued to make daily visits, offering crucial care to ensure veterans’ health and safety. The dedication of these teams has been vital in preventing further hardships for those already facing significant challenges.
In times of uncertainty, the assistance provided has been a source of comfort, offering reassurance to these heroes who have already made significant sacrifices for our country. These veterans have shared how critical the relief packs and ongoing care have been in helping them navigate this difficult period.
The road to recovery for veterans and their families is far from over, and continued support is critical. Your donation can make a meaningful difference in helping us provide ongoing aid, including health and wellness support, supplies, and essential resources.
At Greater Good Charities, we are focused on long-term recovery, and we need your help to ensure that our veterans , and others impacted by Hurricane Helene, continue to receive the care and support they deserve.
