However, many of these shelters lack the facilities to accommodate pets, forcing survivors to face the agonizing choice of leaving their beloved animals behind. Rescue Rebuild addresses this critical issue by constructing pet-friendly spaces within domestic violence shelters, ensuring that survivors can bring their pets with them as they seek safety and healing.
Greater Good Charities' Rescue Rebuild program is more than just about renovation—it's about partnership and collaboration. When shelters are ready to begin renovations, we offer consultation services to assist with bids, project planning, and reconstruction efforts. To date, Rescue Rebuild has provided 200 renovations, helped more than 510,000 pets, and has provided more than 335,000 nights of safety for families in crisis.
