As the war in Ukraine rages on, Greater Good Charities has been hard at work distributing aid to Ukrainians. Recently, our team traveled to Kherson, where they were able to sit down and hear some of their stories.

The Ukrainians we spoke to were internally displaced and living in hostels, many of them elderly or immobile. After losing their homes and livelihoods, they were now struggling to prepare for winter with no electricity and significant damage to their infrastructure.

During our team's field operations, there were three drone flyovers alone—a horrifying glimpse into the current daily lives of so many Ukrainians.

Yet, hope remains.

Our generous supporters make it possible for us to deliver critical aid in a time of urgent need—including Relief Kits filled with winter essentials, medical items to frontline hospitals, support to beekeepers and their bee colonies that have been destroyed by war, humanitarian and pet meals, and emergency window installation to reduce cold exposure.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our community for providing a lifeline to vulnerable Ukrainians. With each gift, you give them hope for a better tomorrow.

Bringing Clean, Sustainable Drinking Water to Ukraine

When the Kakhovka Dam, a major hydropower facility on the Dnieper River in Ukraine, collapsed, it resulted in significant flooding across villages in the region. Critically, the dam's collapse also led to a disruption of the water supply system, contamination of existing water sources, and deepened the crisis. Greater Good Charities partnered with BEAR (British Expeditionary Aid and Rescue) on a timely solution.
