Still Here. Still Helping. A continuum of good in a long war.
It has been four years since Russia started a war with neighboring Ukraine, causing wide-scale destruction and upending the lives of millions. Since the very beginning, Greater Good Charities has been on the ground distributing aid.
For four years, we have provided critical funding and support to help with the immediate needs of the Ukrainian people and their pets––and we remain just as dedicated now as we were on day one.
Help didn’t just arrive when the war began. It keeps arriving. Every day, even when the world’s attention shifts, we’re working tirelessly to provide continuous support to survivors of war.
On the anniversary of the start of the invasion, it is vital that we remember the people of Ukraine who are still fighting for dignity and for survival. We won’t abandon Ukraine. With your gift, we’re still giving meals to families in need, still providing evacuation support for animals, still supporting beekeepers whose hives have been destroyed, and still standing with Ukraine.
Greater Good Charities has ultimate authority and discretion with regard to the distribution of its funds. All expenditures made are consistent with the exempt purposes of Greater Good Charities.
Winter Relief Kit distributions
Families who have stayed in Ukraine have lost access to basic resources such as food and toiletries. Many of the grocery and department stores have been destroyed by missile attacks, leaving people to fend for themselves.
As temperatures drop, families will find themselves facing the harsh elements with limited supplies. We're distributing kits filled with a blanket, soap, toilet paper, and more.
Keeping ukrainians safe from shelling
Due to constant shelling, windows have been blown out of many homes, hospitals, businesses, and public buildings. This causes safety concerns as well as utility costs skyrocketing and temperature fluctuations in the hot summer and cold winters. Greater Good Charities is helping to install temporary window replacements to regulate temperatures, let light in, keep utility costs in check, and help Ukrainians live in their homes again comfortably.
keeping pets warm and fed
Many pets, once part of loving homes, have been abandoned on the streets as families flee for safety. Dedicated teams on the ground are helping rescue pets from the front lines and taking them to shelters for care.
Since 2022, Greater Good Charities and our partners have worked relentlessly to secure pet food donations and distribute them to even the most remote villages where dedicated citizens remain, caring for the pets there.
As temperatures start to drop, we work with partners to build sturdy, insulated and heated dog houses to keep pets safe from freezing to death in the cold weather. We're also distributing warm beds for owned dogs.

Winter storms are raging across the country this weekend, putting vulnerable communities at risk of widespread power outages, heat loss, and lack of access to food and shelter. These storms are intense and unpredictable, unleashing heavy snow and blizzards, widespread winds, rain, tornados, and flooding. See how Greater Good Charities is There When It Matters®.
