Oklahomans, we know the face of disaster. We've weathered storms, rebuilt from rubble, and emerged stronger. Now, our neighbors in Los Angeles need that same resilience.  

Today, we have a chance to show up for LA like we show up for each other – to stand in the face of disaster’s hardest swings with compassion, strength, and resilience. The LA wildfires have claimed at least 24 lives and displaced thousands from their homes. Let’s show LA when disaster strikes, our Oklahoma community rises. Let’s rise for LA now.  

Greater Good Charities is calling on our Oklahoma community to join our OK for LA donation drive today. Our goal? To send over 400,000 lbs of essential emergency supplies directly to those affected by the LA wildfires. Every donation, no matter how small, can bring hope to families and pets left displaced and vulnerable by wildfires.  

Your donations will reach local shelters and disaster response teams on the ground in LA with weekly transports to ensure your generosity quickly reaches those in need, when and where it’s needed most.  

Today, we rise for LA. We are OK for LA.  

We've carefully curated this donation list to make the biggest possible difference for our neighbors in Los Angeles.  

Because the items on this list were chosen to meet critical community needs, thank you for understanding a few considerations: 

• We cannot accept items outside of this list
• All donations must be new and unopened
• Items packaged in bulk, where possible, are greatly appreciated 
• Please check our current needs list before dropping off items to ensure we can accept your donation

1. Mobilize friends from your neighborhood, church, school groups, or workplace. 
2. Collect essential supplies at your home, community center, or other hosting location.
3. Drop off at our distribution center. We are ready to receive your generous contributions Monday – Friday 8am-11am and Tuesday – Thursday 4pm-7pm

Some items we need for emergency packs are more specific to meet size or durability factors. Our online wish list is created just for these special items – and a great way to donate if you can’t drop off supplies to the warehouse or a neighborhood drive.
