2024 Shelter Bowl Kicks Off

Calling All Football Fans! Score a Touchdown for Pets in Honor of the Big Game!

Join the movement to tackle pet hunger and provide vital parasite protection in shelters nationwide.

Greater Good Charities is partnering with Boehringer Ingelheim and Hill’s Pet Nutrition for the 2024 Shelter Bowl to donate millions of meals and doses of NexGard® PLUS (afoxolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) to shelter pets around the country.

All donations will be generously matched, dollar for dollar, up to $60,000.

Hi, I’m Bert

Greater Good Charities' programs saved my life. Use a commercial break during the Big Game to help other pups like me during our bowl game.

Why is Shelter Bowl Important?

  • Food is the most significant expense for shelters. Every meal provided means more resources for shelter pets in need like Bert.
  • Pets like Bert rely on your help. Thanks to donated food, this once-emaciated stray found health and happiness. Thousands more await their forever homes and need your support.
  • Shelters are strained. Rising costs threaten vital programs. Greater Good Charities bridges that gap, ensuring deserving pets like Bert don't go hungry.

On average, football fans will spend $115 on food, beverages, and other items for the big game. That same amount could provide over 2,000 meals to shelter pets in need.

Those meals could mean the difference between life and death for sweet animals like Bert.
