How a Shared Mission to Help Cats Led to a Partnership Between Cat Bandit and Greater Good Charities

Supporting Animal Welfare Through Collaboration and Community Impact

At Greater Good Charities, our work is guided by one clear principle: listen to what communities need, then act boldly and compassionately to meet those needs. One of the ways we do that is through strategic partnerships that amplify our impact, and our collaboration with Cat Bandit is an example of just that.

Together, we’re helping shelters feed more cats, reduce costs, and focus resources on adoption and lifesaving care. This is more than a partnership; it’s a united effort to protect and uplift vulnerable animals.

Cat Bandit’s Mission: Supporting Cats and Raising Awareness

Cat Bandit is a mission-driven brand focused on supporting cats and the people who care for them. Their purpose goes beyond awareness—they are building a community of cat lovers committed to real change. By leveraging sales of their apparel and merchandise, Cat Bandit funds rescue efforts, donates meals, and champions humane treatment of cats everywhere.

Their values align closely with our own: helping animals, supporting shelters, and creating a more compassionate world—one cat at a time.

How This Partnership Supports Shelters Nationwide

Through their ongoing support of Greater Good Charities, Cat Bandit is directly helping to meet a critical need for shelters: nutritious food.

Food is one of the largest expenses for animal shelters. When we can step in to fill that gap, it frees up resources for other essential services like medical care, spay/neuter efforts, and adoption outreach. That means more pets in homes, fewer animals in overcrowded shelters, and stronger communities overall.

This partnership reflects a shared goal: to protect animals and provide the conditions for long-term well-being.

The Power of Listening and Responding to Needs

At Greater Good Charities, we ask, “What do you need from us?” We’ve learned that feeding a cat isn’t just about food—it’s about trust, safety, health, and hope. Whether it’s a shelter overwhelmed after a disaster or a rural community with limited veterinary access, the need is real and urgent.

When asked about their inspiration for partnering with Greater Good Charities, Tracy from Cat Bandit emphasized the alignment of missions. "Greater Good Charities has the same goals as Cat Bandit,” she explained. ”You have a whole division dedicated to protecting pets, and your impact on the rescue community is huge!"

Amplifying the Good — Together

For Cat Bandit, "doing good" means ensuring that cats live in safe, loving environments free from fear, pain, and suffering.

One of the highlights of Cat Bandit’s partnership with Greater Good Charities was their support of the Jackson Galaxy Project's CatPawsitive360 event at Columbus Humane in June 2024. Cat Bandit provided participants with their signature t-shirts as a thank-you for their work and dedication to nurturing and saving cats.

Cat Bandit’s dedication to their cause has driven their support for various initiatives, including feeding over 22.1 million meals to 184,786 shelter cats across the United States as of March 2024.

Inspiring Others to Make a Difference

Cat Bandit sums it up best: “Be kind, be generous, be grateful.” These are more than words—they’re a way of showing up for others, whether they walk on two legs or four.

Their partnership with Greater Good Charities is proof of what’s possible when mission-aligned organizations come together to do more, reach farther, and care deeper.
