Still Here, Still Helping: 4 Years of War in Ukraine
It has been four years since Russia started a war with neighboring Ukraine, causing wide-scale destruction and upending the lives of millions. Since the very beginning, Greater Good Charities has been distributing aid in Ukraine.
For four years, with the help of our generous donors, we have provided critical funding and support to help with the immediate needs of Ukrainians and their pets.
This aid is a beacon of hope in the long continuum of war— and we’re not done yet.
To date, here is what Greater Good Charities’ impact looks like on the ground in Ukraine:
- 10MM+ meals funded via local partners and food banks for families
- 30MM+ meals provided to owned and homeless pets
- Thousands of temporary windows installed, helping families and their pets survive the cold
- Thousands of Emergency Packs, aid kits, and blankets distributed to displaced people and refugees
But this impact goes beyond numbers. It’s warm meals during a harsh winter, while snow piles up outside temporary homes. It’s a window replaced in a home destroyed by shelling, keeping an elderly Ukrainian safe. It’s comfort for a family who knows their pets will be taken care of. It’s a sense of normalcy for people who have lost their homes and way of life.

Help didn’t just arrive when the war began. It keeps arriving. Every day, even when the world’s attention shifts, we’re still working tirelessly to provide continuous support to survivors of war.

On the anniversary of the start of the invasion, we must remember the people of Ukraine who are still fighting for dignity and for survival.
We won’t abandon Ukraine. With your gift, we’re still giving meals to families in need, still providing evacuation support for animals, still supporting beekeepers whose hives have been destroyed, and still standing with Ukraine.
