Hope in Times of Crisis: Delivering Hygiene Kits to Ukrainians in Need

Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Greater Good Charities has been on the ground working with local leaders and humanitarian organizations to provide urgent aid to those in need.

In times of war and uncertainty, simply having the ability to wash your clothes can be a huge step towards returning to normalcy. We are so grateful that, with your support, we are able to provide these vital supplies to victims of war.

Distributing Hygiene Kits

We’ve partnered with the local organization DTCare to distribute hygiene kits throughout Ukraine. These kits are being delivered in areas where people are experiencing extreme need, including Zorya, Partyzanske, Blahodatne, and Kherson. In addition to the hygiene kits we have already distributed, we continue to actively work with our partners on the ground to develop new strategies for delivering aid.

Meet Father Valentin

Father Valentin is a beloved leader of his community, exuding kindness, compassion, and quiet strength in times of hardship. He is involved in several humanitarian projects around the Kherson Oblast and has turned his church in Antoniivka into a humanitarian hub and headquarters.

All of the buildings in the churchyard were destroyed, with the exception of the church itself. Valentin’s house was reduced to rubble, along with the house of his assistant Marina. They lost everything in this attack, including the life of an elderly parishioner.

Despite this hardship, Father Valentin has persevered and continues to take care of those in need. The hygiene kits have been a great help to his community. After the attack, they were even able to use the buckets to carry water to put out the fires.
