How We Made a Difference Together
As we enter a new year, we’re reflecting on the tremendous milestones we accomplished in 2023 thanks to our generous donors and volunteers. Last year was filled with highlights, and with your unwavering support, we were able to amplify the good around the globe.
Here’s what GOOD looked like over the last year

- Curbing Pet Overpopulation: We hit a big milestone this year....we've now sterilized 55,000 cats and dogs since our Good Fix program began over 15 years ago to help reduce pet overpopulation in communities worldwide, from Oklahoma to Hawaii to Ukraine and many places in between.
- Second Chances for Shelter Pets: Since our Good Flights began in 2021, we’ve transported more than 12,000 at-risk shelter pets to areas where they were quickly adopted into new homes.
- Global Aid: We hit a big number this year, marking an all-time total of 8,000 shipments of food and essential supplies for people and pets worldwide.
- Disaster Relief: We stood at the ready and mobilized quickly, responding to multiple disasters, including the devastating earthquake in Turkey and the Maui wildfires.
- Unwavering Commitment to Ukraine: We built on our long-term commitment to help the people and pets in Ukraine with new humanitarian support programs after the Kakhovka Dam collapse by hosting numerous spay/neuter clinics, helping feed honeybees, and caring for the many homeless dogs and cats across the country.
- Protecting Biodiversity: We expanded our Global Discovery Expeditions into Vietnam to continue our commitment to studying biodiversity hot spots, documenting plants and animals, and increasing records in our public, all-species database.
Looking Ahead to 2024
Given this momentum, we've set ambitious goals for 2024. Our team is inspired and committed to amplifying the good for people, pets, and the planet in new and exciting ways. Your generosity made the milestones of 2023 possible, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.

You Can Make a Difference
We can all continue to amplify the good in 2024 and spread our reach even further around the globe. There are so many ways you can positively impact the world this year. Here are a few ideas as you consider what you want to accomplish this year.
- Volunteer: Being hands-on for a cause you love is life-changing. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our work and enable us to be on the ground around the world making a difference. Find an event in your area and get involved this year.
- Share the Good: Stop doom scrolling and help us share inspiring content on social media. By sharing, liking, and engaging with us, you reset your social media algorithm to boost content that amplifies the good.
- Host a Fundraiser: Whether in person or virtual, consider hosting a fundraiser in your community. Do it in honor of someone you love, in place of a birthday or holiday present, or create an event unique to you.
- Become a Greater Good Charities Protector: Make a resolution to have your impact felt year-round by becoming a protector and giving monthly. These recurring donations allow us to consistently bring aid to pets, people, and the planet.
- Find Other Ways to Give: There are so many ways to give to Greater Good Charities, whether it’s financial, getting other people involved, volunteering at an event, or finding ways to use your skills to amplify the good in your community. Make this year your year of impact.
